'MASSS' - Tamil movie review

This is something everyone was waiting for after something so 'bad' like 'Anjaan' from surya. As the movie was directed by Venkit prabhu the expectations were really high.
so the movie takesoff from a murder happened on the streets of chennai and suddenly changing the story line to Masss a smalltown con artist played by surya and his love interest. the story takes a turn when things go wrong during a deal and Mass and his friend meets with an accident. After the accident Mass finds out that he can see and talk to ghosts, what happens next makes the rest of the plot.

well...talking about the story, according to me,

MASSS = Ghost town (2008 hollywood movie) + Hum tum aur ghost (2010 bollywood movie) + vismayathumbathu (2004 malayalam movie).

which equals to a piece of crap.

The individual movies were barely watchable (except "Ghost town" which was an enjoyable movie) and when it combines to give mass... it becomes just unbearable.
this movie is just full on Suriya show with a copied (in their words "inspired" maybe) storyline.

Suriya has done a good job like always, he is really good at pulling off such masala action roles, but even he cant save this one. Nayan tara who is said to be the female lead in the movie has very less screentime and has got nothing to do.

This movie is meant for hardcore Suriya fans only. It has got nothing new, just Suriya and a bunch of ghots.

my verdict: 2/5
